CodeKasten has a blog. This is where we'll write about what's new in CodeKasten, why we built it the way we did, and what's coming next.
Written in CodeKasten
This blog is made with the thing it writes about. Every post is a record in CodeKasten, a Post, with rich text, pictures, a cover, a category and an author. A post is written on a branch, reviewed and merged like any other change, and set to Published when it's ready. Only then does it appear here. Drafts, and anything not yet merged, stay private.
The Blog is an ordinary CodeKasten app. Its record types were built by an agent, through the same tools any agent can use to build an app, then released and installed like any other package.
Releases, announced
Each release of CodeKasten is kept as a product release, with notes written for the people who use it. Every one goes on the changelog. A bigger one can also get a card in the app, or a post here. When a release meant for the blog ships, its post is drafted from the release notes, ready to edit and publish. The card's Read more then opens the post.
